World No. 1 badminton player from Taiwan Tai Tzu Ying, who broke the hearts of crores of Indians by defeating PV Sindhu in the semi-finals of the Tokyo Olympics, revealed that she had tears after hugging Sindhu in the medal ceremony. Tai Tzu finally managed to win a medal in her third Olympics. She had to be content with the silver medal after she lost 18-21, 21-19, 18-21 to Chen Yu Fei of China in the final.
Sindhu had defeated Spain's Carolina Marin five years ago at the Rio Olympics and had to settle for silver at that time. That's why Sindhu knew how the world number one player was feeling.
