Video: MMA fighter and powerlifting champ involved in a brutal fight

An argument over a sport in a café turned into a horrific street fight where a Russian powerlifting champion lost his life.

Power-lifter Andrei Drachev was involved in a fight against who was a well-trained in mixed martial arts (MMA) and has competed professionally.

The MMA fighter identified as Anar Ziranoc delivered a wheel kick to the towering lifter after which Drachev lost his footing and fell on the ground, Ziranoc then repeated landed brutal punches to the face as powerlifter was seemingly unconscious and later succumbed to his injuries. The cause of death for Drachev -- who hails from Khabarovsk — was identified as Craniocerebral injury.

"The man suspected of inflicting deadly injuries to Drachev is still at large, and law enforcement officers are carrying out measures aimed at detaining the suspect," said Ilya Gudkov, a senior aide to the head of the Khabarovsk Territory's Investigative Committee.

According to an eyewitness, the duo was involved in a heated argument over which sport is better and later, the argument turned into a brutal fight where this unfortunate incident happened.

Drachev was a well-known athlete and has won the silver medal at the 2011 world power-lifting championships in the Czech Republic.
