Jinder Mahal might be heading to India without the championship belt as the Modern Maharaja’s title reign as the WWE Champion came to an end at the hands of AJ Styles during SmackDown Live’s European Tour UK leg in Manchester.

Mahal who had challenged Brock Lesner at the Survivor Series was set to face the beast at the November 19 pay-per-view in a Champion vs Champion match but now it’s AJ Style who will be heading to Survivor Series as WWE Champion and face Lesner.

It was the first time the WWE Championship has changed hands outside of North American soil.

Mahal picked up Styles in an attempt to deliver the Khallas from the top rope, but Styles countered by dropping Mahal face first nto the top rope and then hit The Phenomenal Forearm to earn his second WWE strap.
