Energizing Efficiency: ISO 50001:2018 survey illuminates energy management systems

In a bid to bolster energy efficiency initiatives, a comprehensive three-day survey was conducted on April 2nd, chaired by Shri Gulshan Kumar, Chief General Manager of the Department of Energy Management. Spearheaded by  Kaushik Chakraborty and Vikas Gupta from M/s TUV, the survey delved into the intricacies of the ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System.   Anupama Tiwari, General Manager of Business Excellence, extended a warm welcome to the auditors, emphasizing the significance of the occasion.  Gulshan Kumar underscored the pivotal role of energy management systems in driving sustainable practices and highlighted the importance of meticulous surveyorial audits.   The survey encompassed a spectrum of critical departments including CO&CC, Sinter Plant, Blast Furnace, Hot Strip Mill, as well as key administrative units like the Department of Energy Management, DNW, I&A, ETL, Material Management, and Human Resources Department. Noteworthy is the collaborative effort between the Department of Energy Management and the Department of Business Excellence in orchestrating this audit, indicative of a concerted drive towards operational excellence and energy efficiency.
