213 polling parties to avail of P minus 2 dispatch in Palamu

A fleet of 213 polling parties will roll out from the dispatch centre at GLA college on Saturday May 11 for the equal number of the polling stations where voting is due on May 13.   Palamu has 1470 polling stations for the LS seat in its district which will go to polls on May 13.   213 polling parties will move on May 11 while the remaining 1257 polling parties will depart from the dispatch centre set up at the GLA college ground in Daltonganj on May 12 for their respective polling stations.    8 polling parties will be air dropped and lifted right on May 13 for the equal number of the polling stations the day of polling in the vicinity of the Burha Pahar.    This 2 day early departure of the polling parties for the polling stations is called P minus 2 in the electoral lingo.    The 213 polling parties will be spread over in all the four assembly constituencies in Palamu district for the May 13 voting for the Palamu lok sabha seat.     A police officer requesting anonymity said the 2 day early dispatch of the polling parties is done all for the sake of the Safety and security of the polling personnel and accompanying security jawans and officials in the left wing extremist hit district and Palamu has a long history of remaining affected by left wing extremism where Maoists and other splinter groups are invisibly visible even now and have still potentiality to mar peace and put life in danger.    This police officer said there is all preparedness for safety and security of all the stakeholders of the lok sabha election here and security forces will crush any aberration of the extremists with all might and ferocity.    Polling on May 13 will be held in all sanctity of the election. It will be free and fair, reiterated the district administration here in Daltonganj.    The 213 polling parties out on May 11 itself will position themselves likewise at 47 polling stations in Daltonganj assembly constituency, 12 polling stations in Bishrampur assembly constituency, 97 polling stations  in Chhaterpur assembly constituency and 57 polling stations in Hussainabad assembly constituency.
