DEHRADUN: Dehradun police on Monday arrested two liquor smugglers from Sahaspur area and seized 20 cartons of illicit liquor from their possession. When the team signalled a car that was on its way to Sahaspur, the driver tried to speed up to evade police. However, police chased the car and arrested two smugglers.”The smugglers have been identified as Sanjay Singh and Pradeep Kumar, both residents of Vikasnagar. The duo has been booked under section 60 of the Excise Act. The bootleggers, who were on their way to Sahaspur from Vikasnagar in a car, were nabbed with the illegal liquor after police acted on a tip-off.Superintendent of police (SP) Rural Shweta Shoubey said, “Acting on the information, police team started checking on Vikasnagar-Sahaspur route.
