Margao: The Benaulim panchayat constituted its biodiversity management committee at a meeting held recently.Jose Rodrigues is the committee chairperson, and Royla Fernandes, Glyda Fernandes, Nanda Vagurmekar, Remedios Fernandes, Roque Fernandes, and Dinesh Gaonkar its members. The panel is tasked with preparing a people's biodiversity register in consultation with villagers.In a press statement, Rodrigues said, "Besides documenting our natural resources, we have to protect and preserve them so that our future generations can have the life we'd like them to have."
