As the tank is surrounded by a number of coconut and mango groves, a meeting with the farmers was convened. “The farmers have agreed to draw water from their borewells and supply it to the tank,” an official told The Hindu here on Friday.

    Supply channels from the private bore wells to the tank have been dug to facilitate maximum realisation of water. This apart, a deep bore well has been set up up to a depth of 105 feet on the bund of the tank and water would also be pumped from this.
