Lok Sabha elections: AIADMK govt improved Tamil Nadu’s health infrastructure, CM says

TRICHY: Campaigning for DMDK candidate Dr V Elangovan who has been fielded by the AIADMK front in Trichy Lok Sabha constituency, Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday said infrastructure of health sector had received special impetus under AIADMK regime.“Infant mortality rate (IMR) in the state has come down, and Tamil Nadu is a frontrunner state in organ transplant surgeries. You might have seen the visuals of such atrocities, though they cannot come to power, people have to think about these violent acts,” the CM said. The chief minister was accompanied by health minister C Vijaya Baskar and the DMDK candidate.The joint coordinator of the ruling party took a dig at the DMK by alleging that the party had indulged in vicious activities.“After eating biriyani, DMK cadre refused to pay the bill and attacked employees of a restaurant. Nutrition kits being provided to the financially downtrodden pregnant women ensure the health of both the mother and the child,” said the chief minister.Campaigning at Gandharvakkottai, a reserved assembly segment in Pudukkottai district that falls under Trichy parliamentary constituency, the chief minister urged the people to keep the DMK out of power.
