Air India is the flag carrier airline of India. It is owned by Air India Limited, a government-owned enterprise, and operates a fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft serving 90 domestic and international destinations. Air India is the largest international carrier out of India with an 18.6% market share. The airline was founded by J. R. D. Tata as Tata Airlines in 1932. In 1953, the government nationalised Air India.
In 1953, India's first indigenous electronic analog computer for solving linear equations with 10 variables and related problems was designed and developed by Samarendra Kumar Mitra at the Computing Machines and Electronics Laboratory at the ISI, Calcutta. This computer was used in the computation of numerical solutions of simultaneous linear equations using a modified version of Gauss–Seidel iteration.
