As the rains lashed many parts of the city on Wednesday evening, the weather department has predicted cloudy sky and light rains in the city for the next four to five days. Heavy rains are also likely in parts of south Gujarat, east Gujarat and Saurashtra for next couple of days, the weather department warned. East Zone recorded maximum 28.51 mm rains followed by South West Zone (23 mm), Central Zone (17 mm), South Zone (13 mm), West Zone (12.13 mm), North Zone (11.5 mm) and North West Zone (6.25 mm). According to a state government report, 121 talukas recorded rains on Wednesday till 8:00 pm.
