CHENNAI: A four-member gang hacked a 23-year-old man to death, a few metres away from Aminjikarai police station on Wednesday morning.The deceased was identified as Adithyan, 23, of M M Colony, Aminjikarai. When he reached the lane opposite Aminjikarai police station, a fourmember gang that came in their bikes intercepted him and picked up a quarrel with him. Meanwhile, cops at Aminjikarai police station who were preparing to hoist the tricolor at the station as part of Independence Day celebrations heard his cries and rushed to the spot. Within seconds, the gang pulled out sickles hidden inside their clothes and attacked the man.As he swooned, they tried to flee the spot.
