Medical Specialist: 23 posts ((12 - Medicine, 5 - O&G and 06 - Pediatrics)
Medical (GDMO): 37 posts
Educational qualification and age limit criteria for NTPC Recruitment 2020:
Medical Specialist (Medicine/O&G/Pediatrics):
MBBS with MD/MS in Medicine/ O&G/ Pediatrics. (Qualification should be recognised by Medical Council of India).
Experience requirements: For E4 level: Minimum 1-year experience/ practice after MD/MS for E3 level: Fresh MD/MS qualified doctor.
Upper age limit: 37 years
Medical (GDMO):
MBBS from recognised university/institution. (Qualification should be recognized by Medical Council of India)
Experience: Minimum 2 years` experience/ practice after MBBS (Internship training shall not be counted as experience).
Upper age limit: 37 years
Pay scale of NTPC Recruitment 2020:
Medical Specialist (Medicine/O&G/Pediatrics):
Pay Scale: E3: Rs 60,000 - 1,80,000 and E4: Rs70,000 - 2,00,000
Medical (GDMO):
E2: Rs 50,000 - 1,60,000
Selection procedure for NTPC Recruitment 2020:
For the post of Medical Officer (GDMO): The selection process will be on the basis of online written test followed by interview. The final selection shall be on the basis of 85 per cent weightage of online written test marks and 15 per cent weightage of interview marks.
However, candidate has to qualify separately in online written test and interview. Candidates are required to indicate their choice for test centres at the time of online application.
NTPC reserves the right to change the test centres depending upon the response/ feasibility.
For the post of Medical Specialist: The selection process will be based on performance in interview.

- After filling the online application form, click on the submit button
- On clicking Submit button, Registration slip will be generated
- Keep the Registration slip for future reference.
Application fees:
Candidate belonging to General/EWS/OBC category is required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 300. The SC/ST/PwBD/XSM category and female candidates need not pay the registration fee.
