Nomination of 140 candidates found valid

According to the election schedule of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the nomination papers received in 9 Lok Sabha parliamentary constituencies for the third phase were scrutinized on Saturday. During scrutiny, nomination papers of 140 candidates were found valid. The nomination papers of 13 candidates were rejected after scrutiny as they were not in accordance with the law. CEO Anupam Rajan said that nomination papers of 16 candidates in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency number-1 Morena, 8 candidates in number-2 Bhind (SC), 21 candidates in number-3 Gwalior, 17 candidates in number-4 Guna, 14 candidates in number-5 Sagar, 16 candidates in number- 18 Vidisha, 25 candidates in number- 19 Bhopal, 15 candidates in number- 20 Rajgarh and of 8 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 29 Betul (ST) were found valid. Nomination papers of 2 candidates in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency Morena, 1 in Bhind, 1 in Gwalior, 4 in Vidisha, 3 in Bhopal, 1 in Rajgarh and 1 in Betul have been rejected.
