Minor siblings found dead, mother injured in East Delhi home

A nine-year-old girl and her teenage brother were found dead on Saturday while their mother was found injured in their house in East Delhi. According to the Delhi police on Saturday, the father of the children is "missing". According to police, they received a call at 2 pm about Shyam, aged 42 years old, a resident of Pandav Nagars Shashi Garden in East Delhi, who is missing and whose house had been locked since Friday. Acting upon the PCR call, a police team immediately reached the spot and found the house locked from the outside. The police upon entering the locked home found the siblings, a 15-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl, dead. The mother of the two children was lying unconscious in a room, a police officer said. The victims were rushed to a hospital. The doctors declared the two children dead on arrival and their mother is undergoing treatment, the police officials said. It is suspected that Shyam is the accused in the case. Police officials suspect that he killed his children, attacked his wife and fled from the spot. Police teams have been made to nab Shyam, another police officer said.
