Asking the party leaders and workers of Fatehgarh Sahib Constituency to take Aam Aadmi Party-led Punjab Governments achievements to the people to seek votes, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday emphasized the importance of grassroots connection while urging the leaders to conduct small-scale programs and actively engage with the public.   Mann, during the high-level meeting with legislators from the Fatehgarh Sahib parliamentary constituency to discuss election strategies and mobilize support from party leaders and workers, stressed the need for leaders to personally visit each constituency and interact with the local residents. He highlighted the significance of understanding the ground realities and addressing the concerns of the people directly.   The meeting, held at Chief Ministers official residence in Chandigarh, saw the presence of AAP candidate Gurpreet Singh GP, along with several MLAs representing the constituency. Notably, in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, AAP in Punjab is leaving no stone unturned, intensifying its efforts to secure victory in various constituencies across the State. Led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the party is strategically planning its campaign, focusing on grassroots connection and public engagement to ensure success at the polls.   During the meeting, detailed discussions took place regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha election campaign and strategies to effectively reach out to the electorate. Mann emphasized the importance of grassroots connection and urged the party leaders to conduct small-scale programs in villages to interact with the local population. The focus was on promoting the governments initiatives and achievements, including schemes aimed at benefiting farmers, youth, and households.   Mann also directed all legislators to vigorously promote the partys initiatives for the people of Punjab to ensure victory in the Fatehgarh Sahib constituency. He instructed them to engage with people at the grassroots level, hold meetings with party office bearers in villages, and actively participate in outreach programs. The goal was to highlight the pro-people decisions taken by the AAP government in the past two years and address the concerns of the electorate.   AAP candidate Gurpreet Singh GP expressed confidence in the partys prospects in the Fatehgarh Sahib constituency and across Punjab. He lauded the achievements of the Mann government, citing measures such as providing canal water for irrigation to farmers, creating government job opportunities for youth, and ensuring free electricity for households. GP asserted that the people of Punjab support the AAP due to its commitment to serving their interests.   GP predicted a clean sweep for the AAP in Fatehgarh Sahib and other constituencies in Punjab. He criticized the BJP for its treatment of opposition leaders and expressed confidence in AAPs performance in both Punjab and Delhi. GP highlighted the unity within the AAP and its focus on working for the common people, contrasting it with the internal issues plaguing the Congress party in Punjab.   CM Mann announced plans to dedicate three to four days to each constituency in Fatehgarh Sahib, during which he would engage in various campaign activities, including meetings, roadshows, and rallies. The decision is aimed at connecting with the voters directly and garner support for the AAPs electoral bid. The partys agenda focused on highlighting its performance in government and addressing the concerns of the electorate.   Meanwhile, AAPs Rajya Sabha MP and political strategist Sandeep Pathak, known for his adeptness in gauging the pulse of voters and party workers, has also been actively engaged in grassroots feedback sessions across various districts in Punjab. Despite AAP Governments incumbency in the State, Pathak recognizes that winning elections requires a meticulous strategy akin to that of assembly elections.   Pathak has been conducting direct feedback sessions with party workers in districts, aiming to understand the ground realities and concerns of the electorate. Prior to this, he held meetings with leaders and ministers from all constituencies in Chandigarh, who were also given training on effective grassroots engagement. His outreach efforts have already covered several key districts, including Ludhiana, Amritsar, and Jalandhar, with meetings scheduled to continue throughout the week.
