Opposition parties should declare support for construction of Ram Temple: Agra Mayor

“The entire matter will end on its own if opposition parties declare support for construction of the Ram Temple,” he said. Agra: Agra Mayor Naveen Jain on Monday alleged that SP, BSP and Congress were posing hurdles in construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The mayor added that opposition parties can cause delay but they cannot stop construction of grand temple at ‘Ram Janmabhoomi’. He was speaking on the occasion of offering a crown at the Lord Shiva temple inside the Agra Municipal Corporation premises.The mayor said: “If opposition parties think BJP is doing politics over Ram temple issue, then they should declare support for its construction and close the entire subject.”“Our stand is clear. Even Muslims have started supporting the demand of Hindus but opposition parties continue to oppose it for their political interests,” he said.“We are ready to give credit for construction of Ram temple to SP, BSP and Congress if they declare their support.

But I doubt they will do it following their divisive style of politics,” he added.
