The Anti-Corruption Bureau has made eight teams to nab two Gujarat Land Development Corporation officials (GLDC), who are wanted in connection with the Rs 56 lakh bribery case that came to the fore on April 12. The cases were lodged against KS Detroja (managing director of GLDC), KC Parmar (joint-director of GLDC), MK Desai, SM Vaghela(supervisor) and SV Shah (secretary). Two of the officials identified as Vaghela and Parmar have been arrested in connection with the case. Detroja and Desai were absconding when the officers reached their house. Regarding the matter, ACB has made eight teams to nab them. Apart from that, officers are going to check and search files of the 226 offices of GLDC in the state. While the bank accounts of the officers, their property and other assets of the officers will be checked by ACB officers during the investigation in order to unearth any disproportionate assets. Investigators on April 12 recovered Rs 56 lakh from the accused. The investigation revealed that Detroja used to take commission from farmers to clear their applications for government grants. The grants used to be cleared by GLDC. It was revealed that Parmar used to collect the money for Detroja. ACTION TAKEN ACB has made eight teams to nab them. Officers are also going to check and search files of the 226 offices of GLDC in the state.
