Flood fix: Metro-site ditches to be plugged

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has asked authorities of the Metro-Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad (MEGA), to take up the repairs and others measures along the metro route to ensure there is no waterlogging along the corridor.A meeting of AMC and Metro officials chaired by municipal commissioner Vijay Nehra and chief general manager Amit Gupta was held on Saturday. The metro team has taken up cleaning of catch pits and has even provided for the water to flow if a catch pit was in the centre of the road.“We identified some roads and will carry out repairs to ensure that no waterlogging takes place.
