As many as 29 personnel from the state police force will be awarded the President's Police Medal for distinguished service and the Police Medal. These medals are awarded every year are given every year on Independence Day. Of the 29 personnel, four will be awarded the President's Police Medal for distinguished service, while the rest will be awarded the Police Medal. The four to be awarded the President's Police Medal include RB Brahmbhatt posted as IG of Police, CID Crime, Gandhinagar, Punamchand Ramabhai Gehlot posted as the Assistant Director of Anti-Corruption Bureau of Baroda unit, Deepakkumar Vyas posted as the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Ahmedabad and ND Chaudhari posted as the police sub-inspector of Ankleshwar.
