As per SOG officials, they initially came to know that around 20 capsules are in his stomach and the value of the drug can be only known once it is removed. Harshad Patel, DCP of SOG said, "Right now, the accused is admitted to the hospital and the process of removing the drugs from the body is going on. Until now, we have been able to cover nine capsules but still, 11 are still inside. We suspect that around a total of 30 to 40 grams of cocaine must be present in the capsules which he has swallowed, but the value of the drugs can only be confirmed once it is checked and the exact weight is confirmed." It was also revealed during the investigation that the accused was flying from Dubai to Mumbai and they suspect that the consignment was supposed to be delivered to associates in Mumbai.
