Ahmedabad: An incident of sexual harassment in a spa running in posh Thaltej area of the city came to light late on Saturday night.A 34-year-old woman spa employee complained to police that her employer Rahul Rajaram Jat, 25, had invited her and certain other employees to his birthday party held at night at the spa. After the woman reached there, she was asked to ‘give pleasure’ to one Prashant, a rich friend of the spa owner. When the woman refused, the spa owner and two other employees, Rahul Vanjhara, 26, and Mansukh Parmar, 26, ganged up on her, beat her, tore off her dress and tried to push her into the room where the spa owner’s ‘rich friend’ was waiting. The woman somehow managed to free herself and flee and call up police. Police have arrested three accused while the ‘rich friend’ is still on the run.The woman told police that when Prashant arrived at the party, her employer, Jat, told her to go with the man inside the room and give him pleasure as he was very rich and had brought much fortune to the spa. The woman said she was stunned by her employer’s order. When she refused and wanted to leave Jat became angry and he along with Vanjhara and Parmar began molesting her and tried to disrobe her.According to the FIR lodged with Sola High Court Police, Vanjhara and Parmar had tried to disrobe the woman while Rahul Jat had torn her top and pushed her inside the room. Inspector D H Gadhvi of Sola High Court police station said that the three accused persons were arrested late on Saturday night whereas the fourth person, Prashant, was at large. The accused were booked under the IPC sections 354 (b) ((use of criminal force with the intent to disrobe a woman), 341 (wrongful restraint), 323 (assault), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506(2) and 114. tnn
