The police have got hold of CCTV footages of the areas where the accused in the Lok Rakshak Dal (LRD) paper leak case travelled and stayed while they were in Delhi and Gurugram, sources said. They said the name of a prominent land dealer is also doing rounds in connection with the case. Sources said the CCTV footage indicates the presence of the accused in the hotel and vicinity. Those in the know of the case said the police are trying to find out if the Delhi and the Gurugram-based gang, that helped the accused in the leaking the LRD paper leak case, is also involved in the leak of other such exams in Gujarat. Sources said since the gang specialises in leaking competitive exam papers including government exams, it is likely that they may have been involved in other cases in the state. The Gujarat police had taken its investigation in the case beyond state after it emerged that the accused had got the leaked papers from a gang in Gurgaon. The police while seeking the remand of Yashpal Solanki and two others had informed the court that the investigation would require them to visit the places outside Gujarat. Indravadan Parmar, who was arrested on the same day as Solanki had allegedly hatched the conspiracy to obtain the question paper in advance and had got in touch with the Delhi-based gang specialising in it, police had said at the time of Parmar's arrest. Police said it was Parmar who had decided to send some of the potential candidates to Delhi to collect the papers. In Delhi, the gang had refused to let the candidates carry the paper but instead had asked them to memorise it, police had said. Solanki had managed to copy the questions and hid it in a wafer wrapper. PROBE DEEPENS Gujarat police are trying to find out if the Delhi and the Gurugram-based gang, that helped the accused in leaking the LRD paper, is also involved in leak of papers of other such exams.
