A 25-year-old woman, on Thursday, lodged a complaint at the Vasna Police Station alleging her husband of trying to make her drink acid. The woman said in her complaint, her husband was upset after she asked him to quit drinking. As per the police, the complaint was lodged by victim Mukta Saresa, a resident of Vasna area. The victim married the accused identified as Dilip Saresa in 2015 and started living with him in Vasna. As per details revealed in the victim's complaint, Dilip would return home drunk and torture her regularly. When it became a routine thing, Mukta told her husband to quit drinking. A dispute broke out between the two and she was beaten up by her husband. On the night of March 23, when Dilip came back home drunk, an argument broke out between the couple. The matter worsened when Dilip tried to make the victim drink acid, the complaint read. After the incident, Mukta left the house and went to stay with her parents. Dilip reached his in-laws' house with acid on Thursday and again tried to make Mukta drink it. Later, the victim approached the Vasna Police for help. C.U Pareva, inspector, Vasna Police Station said, "We have registered her complaint and further investigation is on. Currently, the accused is absconding."
