Gujarat: Over 100 educators to be trained to teach through theatre

Interestingly, recently, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also mandated art education for Classes I to XII. The CBSE also cited an example of how art education could be integrated with teaching of other subjects. Every school shall compulsorily reserve a minimum of two periods per week, per class, for art education. In a unique workshop aimed at tapping innovative methodology for classroom teaching, over 100 educators from Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar will undergo a day-long training on how to inculcate theatre while teaching regular subjects in schools. Importance of theatre in education is not a new concept but we want it to reach as many schools as it can.
