Gujarat govt plans Namami Narmade for PM Narendra Modi's birthday

The state government in Gujarat is all set with a gift for PM Modi: A fully-filled Sardar Sarovar Dam. Incidentally, the water level of the dam has crossed 138 metres for the first time. As a result, some amount of water has been released from the dam which has resulted in a scenic Statue of Unity being surrounded by water from all sides. On his 69th birthday, PM Modi will visit Gujarat wherein he will offer prayers to the Narmada as part of a festival called Namami Narmade. In addition to this, he will also meet his mother Hiraben Modi.
