AJMER: A Home Guard constable deputed at Central Jail was caught with 35 grams of opium on Thursday early morning at 2 am. Singh is posted in Central Jail.Police sources said that with this arrest they will able to break the drug racket going on inside the jail. Early morning at 2 am when the duty was changed, Singh, along with the police started checking the guards. Guards were stripped and it was found that Shankar was hiding the drug. He had hidden the opium and during checking he was caught carrying opium and moving inside the jail.Civil Lines police station registered the case against Home Guard constable Shankar Singh, a resident of Lohagal, and arrested him.Civil Lines police said that Rajasthan administrative officer Rajender Singh had some doubts about the guards and therefore he chose midnight time to check the guards who came on duty.
