Posters stating “Bisalpur Hijack” came up in Ajmer city criticizing the state government for making the supply of Bisalpur water to Jaipur. AJMER: District magistrate Arti Dogra directed officials of PHED (Public Health Engineering Department) to act against illegal water connections in the district. Officials briefed that Bisalpur dam is going to have water for supply only till February 2019 and after that, it is not possible to supply water from there. She also directed the department to ensure that drinking water reaches every school, especially government schools situated in remote regions.Drinking water supply from the Bisalpur dam has become a major issue for Ajmer and it would affect the drinking water supply to government schools situated in remote villages of the district. She directed the officials to make a time table of the supply and to inform the people about the timing of supply of water to different regions.
