Drug rehabilitation centre to be set up in Ajmer hospital

Ajmer stands second in the country among cities with most drug addicted children after Goa but there is no de-addiction centre there. JAIPUR: The government has decided to set up a de-addiction centre at the Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital in Ajmer Dr Charan Singh of the medical college informed the high court on Thursday. An Ajmer police report filed in the court had said Goa stands first in the number of drug addicted children followed by Ajmer and the third position goes to Kullu in Himachal Pradesh. The addicted children have no place to go for treatment, the high court was informed by the state police in a reply earlier. The home department has also been directed to clamp down on the drug peddlers.
