CM Yogi Adityanath invites PM Narendra Modi to Kumbh

LUCKNOW: UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Kumbh Mela , scheduled to be organised in Allahabad next year. Yogi also claimed that the state government had managed to construct 1.9 crore toilets against a required 2.7 crore as per the baseline survey conducted in 2012. The CM said that eight districts had been declared open defecation-free. He also informed the Niti Ayog about the state government's plans to set up eight more medical colleges-in Etah, Hardoi, Ghazipur, Mirzapur, Deoria, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh and Siddharthnagar.Adityanath said the state government had also initiated the 'Shabri Sankalp Scheme' envisaging vaccination of children and fulfilment of their nutritional requirement. Speaking at the fourth Niti Aayog meeting chaired by Modi, the CM said that the state government was in the process of putting in place all necessary arrangements to ensure that the mega religious-cultural extravaganza turns out to be a big success.Yogi also reiterated his government's commitment of not working for people of one particular caste, community or religion but for all by following the principle of 'sabka saath sabka vikas'.The CM said that welfare schemes of the Centre, including Ayushman Bharat (health insurance), PM National Health Security Mission, PM Awas Yojana, Saubhagya and others were being implemented at the grassroots level in a time-bound manner.Yogi apprised the PM about speedy construction of All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Gorakhpur besides the upgrade of district hospitals in Faizabad, Basti, Bahraich, Firozabad and Shahjahanpur into medical colleges.
