ALLAHABAD: With UP CM Yogi Adityanath routinely reviewing preparations for Kumbh Mela 2019 for its smooth conduct, the Muslim community in Sangam City Allahabad is also setting examples of the unique Ganga Jamuni culture before the mega conglomeration.They have demolished parts of various mosques in the old city area of their own accord. Some parts of the mosques had been constructed on the state government land.The Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government is widening roads ahead of Kumbh Mela in Allahabad, so in order to support the govt move, Muslims have destroyed the parts of mosques voluntarily.While one of the mosques was demolished in Rajrooppur area, the boundary wall a burial ground in Chakia was also razed to the ground by the caretakers.With Allahabad Development Authority running out of time for widening the road, the officers have praised the initiative of Muslim community.Earlier, Muslims had demolished a mosque near Indira Bhawan in Civil Lines area also.The ADA secretary said that members of every community are helping in the development work related to Kumbh Mela.Muslims say it is a big move of the Yogi government towards the development of area, therefore they would support it.The Kumbh Mela 2019 is going to be held at Allahabad from Jan 14, 2019 to March 4, 2019.
