Foreign nationals or students from other boards would have to apply through the UP Board headquarters.As per a new circular issued by the board to district inspectors of school (DIoS) across the state, schools could send a maximum of 600 application forms for high school and 400 for intermediate, under the private category.Each forwarding centre should register candidates as per the specified guidelines and if any principal is found flouting norms then legal action would be recommended against them to their appointing authority," said UPSEB secretary Neena Srivastava.The documents of students from other boards who applied for class XII exams under private category would be physically verified before registering them for the examinations. ALLAHABAD: Seeking to deter use of unfair means during class X and XII examinations, Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board ( UP Board ) will now take legal action against principals if they are found forwarding more application forms for private candidates than the specified limit.Students are allotted examination centres depending on the schools they are registered from.In the past, there have been instances of schools abetting cheating by registering a large number private candidates and enabling impostors to take the examinations for students.To avoid any duplicity candidates applying as private students would have to sign a contact letter indicating that they are not registered with any other school.The board has also decided to make unaided schools as forwarding centres only if there are no Government Inter Colleges in the area.Schools designated as forwarding centres should not have any history of exam related irregularities.
