Don't allot land to 23 fake saints during Kumbh-19: ABAP to administration

""We would be accepting applications for land allotment at the Mela area till November 12. "We have submitted a list of 23 saints who have been expelled by the ABAP to the Mela authorities, requesting them to not allot land to these seers. ALLAHABAD: The Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad ABAP ) has requested the Prayagraj Mela Authority to not entertain applications of land allotment from 'fake' seers on the Mela venue for the forthcoming Kumbh-2019.The Mela administration has received applications from 23 seers who have been declared as 'fake' and have been barred from entering the Kumbh-2019 by the ABAP. Mela Adhikari of Prayagraj Mela Pradhikaran, Vijay Kiran Anand, said, "The Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad has provided us with a list but we would consider the applications on a case-to-case basis.""We would be accepting applications for land allotment at the Mela area till November 12. The process of allotting land would start from November 15 and end on November 30. During this period, our focus would be allot land to akharas, seers and organisations who have been coming to successive Kumbh Melas and Magh Melas," said additional Mela Adhikari, Dileep Trigunayat."Applicants applying for the first time would be considered after that," he added."We have submitted a list of 23 saints who have been expelled by the ABAP to the Mela authorities, requesting them to not allot land to these seers. However, it is for the Mela officials to decide whether to entertain our request or not but in our opinion they should not be allowed to enter the Kumbh Mela venue," said president of ABAP Mahant Narendra Giri.Deputy Mela Adhikari, Dayanad Prasad said that the administration was still receiving applications for land allotment for the Kumbh-2019 and it would be able to announce the final list of names only after November 12.Over the last few months, the ABAP has expelled a number of 'fake' seers. The list includes names like Asaram Bapu, Sukhvinder Kaur alias Radhey Maa, Sachitanand Giria nd Gurmit Ram Rahim.
