HC tells SIT to produce woman ‘detained’ in Deoria shelter home

SIT is investigating allegations that a sex racket was being operated from the said home.The court passed this order while hearing a habeas corpus petition filed by the man from Mumbai, claiming to be the woman’s husband, demanding that she may be set free from detention of authorities.In his petition, the petitioner took the plea that one of the women, who was allegedly victim of sexual harassment at Deoria shelter home, is his wife and is also a major.
