Give prioprity to safety of train operations: South Central Railway

AURANGABAD: The South Central Railway SCR ) general manager Vinod Kumar Yadav has instructed all divisional authorities to give high priority to safety of train operations.In a review meeting chaired recently through video-conferencing, Yadav stressed that any sort of negligence would not be tolerated and proper attention must be paid while attending safety-related issues.“The SCR general manager reviewed the safety aspects of the zone, including loco failures, signal failures, mechanical failures, derailments occurring in yards and unsafe working like gate open cases. He instructed the officials to take corrective action to avoid such instances in the future and asked them to follow the laid down rules to enhance safety,” an official release said.Principal heads of different departments along with divisional railway managers (DRM) of all six divisions — Nanded, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal and Guntur — attended the meeting during which the SCR top-brass advised divisional authorities to sensitize the safety staff by conducting seminars and counselling.The review of ongoing track renewal work was also taken during the meeting with Yadav asking officials to utilize the track repair machines properly to achieve maximum results.
