Aurangabad: A total of 5,616 candidates will be appearing for the preliminary examination for vacancies in the state agriculture department on Sunday.“The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) — the competent authority for conducting examinations — will be holding the test across 17 centres in the city,” an official release said.While the examination is scheduled to take place from 10.30am to 12noon, authorities have reiterated that no candidate will be given entry into examination hall after 11am.“As per rules and regulations shared with the candidates earlier, aspirants need to carry their passport, pan card or driving licence as proof of their identity along with the photocopy of the same while entering the examination hall,” the release said.Candidates are allowed to carry only black or blue ball point pen inside the examination hall and no other item/article will be permitted.“Mobile phone, digital diary, microphone, bluetooth device, camera or any other electronic devices are strictly banned inside the examination halls. If the candidates bring the same, they have to deposit it outside the examination hall at their own risk. The MPSC is not responsible for safety of such items deposited outside,” it added.Any candidate found with electronic device inside the examination hall will be subjected to criminal and disciplinary action and will be barred from appearing future examinations. The district administration has deployed a total of 666 employees and staffers to ensure smooth conduct of examinations across all the designated centres in the district.
