done...Aurangabad: The water supply in the city will be affected in the next few days as power supply to the old pump house in Jayakwadi was interrupted briefly, the water supply department has informed.In a domino effect, several pump houses were temporarily shut, disturbing the water supply cycle and will lead to a day’s gap in supply schedule. Around 20 wards being supplied water through Shahgunj reservoir will witness gap in supply. Also, 90% of the city will get low pressure supply and delayed schedule. A water works engineer said the pumping at Old Jayakwadi pump house stopped on Monday morning. The repair work was expected to be completed by 9pm on Monday. The AMC said the heavy leakage which at Pharola Phata is also being repaired. The repair work at Kranti Chowk pump house is complete. The Shahgunj pump house experienced power failure for 20 minutes from 2.25pm. Power supply to the old pump house at Pharola was also disturbed. The AMC is making efforts to correct the faults and regularise the schedule but compensating to the gap will take two-three 3 days, Khwaja said.TNN
