Aurangabad: The Cidco police have registered two different offences — one for allegedly stalking of a minor girl and other for assaulting and outraging the modesty of woman — against five people on Wednesday evening.According to police, they have launched a manhunt for a 20-year-old man for stalking a minor girl. “We have also booked the youth under provisions of Protection of children for sexual offenses (POCSO) Act 2012. The minor alleged that the suspect had been stalking her for the last four days. At 10 pm on September 18, she found him standing in front of her house. The youth allegedly asked her to take down his mobile number and talk to him. She told her parents about the incident and they led the girl to police station,” a police officer said.In another incident, the police have booked four people including a woman for allegedly barging into the residence of the complainant and allegedly assaulted her while hurling abuses.A police officer said that the woman and her mother were sitting in the verandah of their home when the four suspects arrived and started questioning about the complainant’s movements outside the area.“They alleged that the complainant was into the dancing and must be moving around with boys. When the mother-daughter duo objected, they barged into their home and assaulted them,” he added.The four have been booked under sections 354 A (sexual harassment) 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
