Aurangabad: Entries are open for students for the annual poetry writing competition, to be organized by the literary group, Jay Sahitya Pratishthan. Students from Class I to Class X can take part in the competition.“Students from all mediums and boards can take part in the competition, which is in its third year. The aim of the event is to encourage young minds to pen down their thoughts. In today’s age of the internet and cellphones, students are not getting into the literary world and this competition aims to establish the desired connect,” said Jay Ghatnandrekar, one of the organizers.There is no restriction on the topics that students can choose. However, the poem must be written in Marathi. The entries must be sent in an with details such as one’s full name, school name and contact number. The last date for entries is October 31. A committee of experts will decide the winners and top entries will be awarded prizes.“The first two editions of the poetry writing competition had a great response from students,” said Sandip Dhakne, another organizer.
