AURANGABAD: With the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) having failed to find a solution for managing the waste dumped at Naregaon for 33 years, the Maharashtra Pradesh Khatik Sanghatana (MPKS) - dealing in raw meat business - has implemented a system to ensure that waste generated doesn't lead to any problem and is turned into fish food. The association in April had proposed to take care of the waste generated in the business. The AMC gave its approval on conditions that the waste is transported and treated outside the city as per scientific processes in line with the Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 and without any monetary support from the civic body.Subsequently, the Sanghatna hired four vehicles to undertake collection from the shops.
