Farmers from Gandheli demand corrections in map and land records

Aurangabad: Farmers from Gandheli that falls in the outskirts of the city, demanded the district collector and the land records officials to make corrections in the map and land records.According to the farmers, the wrongfully made record have been causing inconvenience to the residents.In a representation made to the district collector and deputy director of land records, a farmer said, "The land record officials have made several changes in the land records involving the farmland in and around Ganndheli. "Since then, the inaction on the part of the land record department has added to the confusion. Those who signed the memorandum included Baliram Pole, Govind Pole, Ramsing Rore, Ayyub Shaikh, Ramdas Rore and Vazeer Shaikh. The revised numbers and necessary changes in the old maps will avoid inconvenience to the farmers.They also demanded the authorities to institute an inquiry into the functioning of the land records officials involving the Gandheli land in the last 10 years. Several farmers in the area have received legal notices in the name of Salar Jang estate seeking to vacate the land, which were tilling for over 100 years now.

We want the administration to study the survey numbers of the Nizam of Hyderabad era.
