Dalit woman sexually assaulted by SP district chief and three others

The brother of the victim alleged that Khan forced his sister to change her religion and marry one of his relative aged 38.

Another sexual assault of a Dalit woman was reported in Shahjahanpur kotwali against Samajwadi Party district president Tanveer Khan including three others after the massive protest at the SSP office and police station by Hindu Yuva Vahini members.

The brother of the victim alleged that Khan forced his sister to change her religion and marry one of his relative aged 38.

As per SHO Pravesh Singh an FIR was registered under Indian Penal Code section 354, (assault to the woman with intent to outrage her modesty) section 379 (punishment for theft), section 392(robbery), section 504 (intentional insult), section 506 (criminal intimidation) and relevant sections of the Schedule caste and Schedule Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act SC/ST Act against accused, Durgesh Saxena, Kafeel Ahmad, Vaishali Saxena and Tanveer Khan.

According to the SHO, the circle (city) officer will investigate the case.
