Karnataka: Villagers pelt stones at ambulance escorting coronavirus patients to hospital

Villagers of a Karnataka village pelted stones at an ambulance and a vehicle of health department which was in the area to escort 15 people, who had tested positive for coronavirus, to the hospital. The incident happened in Marmanchi Tanda in Kamalapur Taluka in Karnataka on Monday afternoon where 15 people had tested positive for coronavirus. After the test results came, a medical team reached the village to fetch them to a hospital for treatment.

Bengaluru: Villagers of a Karnataka village pelted stones at an ambulance and a vehicle of health department which was in the area to escort 15 people, who had tested positive for coronavirus, to the hospital. The incident happened in Marmanchi Tanda in Kamalapur Taluka in Karnataka on Monday afternoon where 15 people had tested positive for coronavirus.

After the test results came, a medical team reached the village to fetch them to a hospital for treatment. On the way, the medical staff had a small argument with the villagers, which turned violent and the villagers started pelting stones at the ambulance and a vehicle of the health department. A case has been registered against the offenders in Kamalapur police station.
