The BBMP has also ordered marshals to ensure they fine a minimum of 20 people per day failing which action can be taken against them.

Following confusion and clashes among residents with cops and marshals almost every day over various rules, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has now issued clarifications regarding some of the confusions in rules pertaining to wearing of masks.

As per the recent order, even if you are driving solo in a four-wheeler with rolled up windows, you still need to wear mask.

The BBMP on Tuesday also said that it is mandatory for all motorists to wear mask, travelling alone or someone else. If not followed, motorists will be fined Rs. 250.

Earlier it was just BBMP marshals who were fining those who were not wearing masks in public places, now cops too have been authorised to do so. However, the logic behind a single driver in four-wheeler having to wear masks while his windows are rolled up has raised some questions.

Meanwhile, the BBMP has also ordered marshals to ensure they fine a minimum of 20 people per day failing which action can be taken against them.
