Former BJP leader and yesteryears film actor Shtrughan Sinha on Tuesday mocked at BJP’s internal tussle over allocation of portfolios to newly inducted Ministers of Shivraj Cabinet. Sinha tweeted, “BJP in Madhya Pradesh has got divided into three camps— Maharaj, Naraaz and Shivraj. (Maharaj (Scindia), dissenters and Shivraj”. It is said that allocation of portfolio is undecided on Tuesday even as the Cabinet expansion had taken place on July 2. It is believed that Chouhan’s visit to New Delhi to meet party senior leaders including Jyotiraditya Scindia was aimed at resolving dispute on portfolio allocation in his Cabinet.

Now in Congress, Sinha the former Union Minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government, is indicating towards internal unrest in MP BJP which set in after Scindia camp was offered prominence in ministerial berths which left several BJP seniors fuming. It is said that allocation of portfolio is undecided on Tuesday even as the Cabinet expansion had taken place on July 2. Affirming Sinha’s guess to an extent, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who returned to Bhopal from New Delhi on Tuesday declined to allocate Ministries in his Cabinet saying he would work more on the portfolio allocation and ‘I will allocate Ministries among Cabinet colleagues soon.’ Chouhan was scheduled to return to Bhopal on Monday night but later postponed his arrival. It is believed that Chouhan’s visit to New Delhi to meet party senior leaders including Jyotiraditya Scindia was aimed at resolving dispute on portfolio allocation in his Cabinet. But going about his response, it seems the matter still could not be resolved after his visit to national capital. Earlier during his stay in the national capital, Chouhan had told the media that he would allocate portfolios among ministers after reaching Bhopal. As there was buzz that Scindia camp after pouncing on 14 Cabinet berths had demanded most of the prominent Ministries including GAD, Revenue, Women and Child Development, Transportation, Tourism, Health, School Education and others, a demand which Shivraj found difficult to fulfil.
