Webinar on ‘Role of Financial Institutions for Creating Self-reliant India’ organized

A digital conference was organized on behalf of CII on ‘Role of Financial Institutions for Creating Self-reliant India’. It discussed the financial relief package and other measures given by the Government and the Reserve Bank, which will help in reviving the economic activities of the industrial sector. Deputy General Manager of the Reserve Bank of India, Vikram Goyal also attended the conference as a speaker. He clarified the guidelines of the relief package provided by RBI. Pradeep Karimbelkar, managing director of Vision Advisory Private Limited, conducted the conference and gave his views on the subject.

It discussed the financial relief package and other measures given by the Government and the Reserve Bank, which will help in reviving the economic activities of the industrial sector. Speaking on the Central Government's Rs 20 lakh crore stimulus package, Head and Partner of KPMG India's Economic Development Advisory Practice, Mohit Bhasin gave a detailed presentation on the key points of the ‘self-reliance program’. In it, he spoke on 6 of the 15 measures of the package which can be helpful in reviving the MSME sector. Deputy General Manager of the Reserve Bank of India, Vikram Goyal also attended the conference as a speaker. He clarified the guidelines of the relief package provided by RBI. Apart from this, he gave detailed information on various guidelines issued by RBI to commercial banks, cooperative banks, financial institutions and non-banking finance companies (NBFCs) in the wake of the outbreak of Covid-19. While discussing the macroeconomic scenario in detail, Sachchidanand Shukla, Chief Economist of the Mahindra Group shared his views on the current state of financial liquidity and possible future impacts in various sectors. Pradeep Karimbelkar, managing director of Vision Advisory Private Limited, conducted the conference and gave his views on the subject. At the same time, CII Bhopal Zone President Siddharth Chaturvedi thanked the speakers and the participating representatives. Representatives of various MSMEs operating in Madhya Pradesh and adjoining states participated in this conference.
