New Cabinet panel to probe 6-month tenure of Nath Govt

Now, a Cabinet committee would probe the functioning of last six months of Kamal Nath-led Government. Shivraj Government late on Friday formed a Cabinet committee to look into the same. Among others, Bisahulal Singh, who was an MLA with Congress prior to March this year, has found a place in the Cabinet committee and he will be probing into the six-month tenure of his Government. Govind Singh Rajput, another former Congressman who was a minister in Kamal Nath government will also probe into tenure of his previous government as member of the cabinet committee. Others in the cabinet committee include – Home minister Narottam Mishra, Commercial Tax minister Jagdish Devda and Brijendra Pratap Singh, minister for mineral resources.

Almost a month after dissolving the Group of Ministers entrusted with the responsibility of probing into the However, the decision came after the reports of GoM being dissolved leaked into media. Among others, Bisahulal Singh, who was an MLA with Congress prior to March this year, has found a place in the Cabinet committee and he will be probing into the six-month tenure of his Government. Enraged for not being assigned ministerial berth in Kamal Nath government, Bisahulal Singh had left the party with 21 others in march and joined BJP and was deputed a minister in Shivraj cabinet with Food and Civil Supplies ministry. Govind Singh Rajput, another former Congressman who was a minister in Kamal Nath government will also probe into tenure of his previous government as member of the cabinet committee. Others in the cabinet committee include – Home minister Narottam Mishra, Commercial Tax minister Jagdish Devda and Brijendra Pratap Singh, minister for mineral resources. Any action initiated by the GoM formed on May 13, 2020 will also presented before the committee, an order issued by Dept of General Administration said on Friday.
