Nazeerabad police have nabbed one of the two absconding accused who have attacked a 32-year-old man with axe at Kalyanpur on July 24; search for the other accused has been intensified. Fuelled with old enmity victim Lakhpat Gurjar was attacked by two miscreants identified as Sonat Singh and Vishram Singh after a fight on July 24. Police said that a youth was rushed to hospital after he was attacked by two miscreanta at farms in Kalyanpur. The injured was Lakhpat Gurjar who was attacked by his neighbour is reportedly stable. In his complaint, the victim told the police that his cattle were grazing and entered farms of accused which is adjacent to their farms and which angered the two who attacked him with axe injuring him severely. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under section 307 of the IPC. Police found that the dispute was due to cattle grazing but the two have old enmity and was waiting for fight to harm each other. The victim is undergoing treatment and is under observation. During the search on Sunday Sonat alias Sonu was arrested by the police while Vishram remained absconding , search has been intensified for the absconding accused who is still at large. After the attack police have increased deployment of police personnel and as the victim’s friends and family would try to settle score with the accused and their family members.
