A three day 'Karunesh Theatre Festival will be held in the city from Thursday at Shaheed Bhavan auditorium. Bringing stories from different legendary writers, the festival will be a treat for the theatre lovers of the city. The Karunesh Theatre Festival 2021 is being organised every year in the memory of playwright and theatre artist Chandrahas Tiwari. The festival is organised by Rising Society of Art and Culture (RiSAC). The festival will kickstart on Thursday with the play 'Please Maan jao'. The play is directed by Anoop Joshi and will be performed by the artists of Third Eye theatre troupe, Bhopal. Marking the second day on Friday, the play Majnu Laausment will be performed. the artists of RiSAC will perform the play under the director of Kuldeep Kunal. The play introduces a man of around 65 years who recites few lines from a book to the audience. He recites and narrates his story which starts about 50 years back. The play showcases the life of an artist. The festival will have a grand closure with the famous story 'Mozel' by Sadat Hasan Manto. Play 'Manto Ki Mozel' will be performed on Saturday, marking the conclusion of the festival. Set in the dark backdrop of communal unrest during the Partition, Mozel is a story of a jewish woman living in Mumbai, who is known for her beauty and boldness. The play is directed by Gopal Dubey and will be performed by the artists of Bhoomika theatre troupe.
