Miscreants targeted a house at Sai Nath Colony and escaped with valuables worth Rs 80000 on Wednesday ; Kolar police have started investigation. Police said that the victim Amit Joshi along with his family had gone to meet his relatives on April 20 and when he returned, he found the valuables were burgled. A complaint was lodged by the victim with the Kolar police and in his complaint, he stated that he along with his family had gone to meet relatives on April 20 and when they at their relatives house was targeted and valuables were burgled. After they returned on Wednesday they found that the lock was broken and door was open and when entered the goods and jewelry were found burgled. The victim claimed that gold and silver jewelry were burgled. The victim has claimed that the total loss in the burglary is around Rs 80000. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation. Police said that the CCTV footage of the nearby installed cameras would be searched in the further investigation. The neighbours were not aware of the burglary. The domestic help and security guard would be quizzed in the further investigation. During the investigation police found that the burglary was committed after victim left the house which suggests that the miscreants were aware of the whereabouts of the victim.
